Engine Expo 2016 to Host Revolutionary Automotive Engine from AIE
Authorities in powertrain concepts and engine innovations will be gathering at Stuttgart, Germany from 31 May – 2 June to attend the highly anticipated Engine Expo 2016 where exhibitions in powertrain breakthroughs and the International Engine of the Year Awards will be announced.
On the Advanced Propulsion Centre Stand at Engine Expo 2016 will be Wankel rotary engine specialists, AIE (UK) Ltd with their latest breakthrough in lightweight, low emission propulsion technology for high performance sports cars.
Visitors to the APC Stand will be able to view the highly innovative, SPARCS liquid cooled 650S engine which will be on display as well as mounted in a prototype sports car to showcase how this 120hp rotary engine can deliver a remarkable power-to-weight ratio while at the same time occupying less than 50% of the under bonnet volume.
The 650S rotary engine development works to support the new standards for fuel economy and emissions that continue to drive the development of new powertrain concepts and future engine operations.
On hand to answer questions of how AIE have succeeded in achieving low emissions and overcoming historical rotary engine issues will be AIE experienced representatives and engineers eager to demonstrate how the 650S engine is the perfect solution for automotive requirements both in high performance vehicles and as a range extender.
