AIE wins place at UK’s largest innovation show
Lichfield, Staffordshire: Advanced Innovative Engineering (UK) Ltd, a company specialising in rotary engine development from Lichfield, Staffordshire has won a place in an exhibition of the most cutting edge innovations from businesses across the country at the UK’s largest innovation show in November.
AIE (UK) Ltd was one of 100 companies nationwide to be selected to showcase its innovation to over 2,500 attendees at Innovate 2016 on November 2nd and 3rd in Manchester.
As a company with innovation at its heart and with roots reaching back to Norton Motorcycles, AIE are dedicated to pioneering new advancements in rotary engine technology. Through innovative patented technology, including SPARCS (Self-Pressurising-Air Rotor Cooling System) AIE has worked to eliminate historical drawbacks of rotary engines for superior heat rejection, zero oil loss, longer endurance and increased performance.
Now AIE are taking rotary engine development one step further by showcasing their latest breakthrough with the 650S rotary propulsion unit at Innovate 2016.
Regarding the new rotary engine, AIE Managing Director Nathan Bailey explains, “The 650S has been specifically developed as a novel solution to achieve super high performance within a lightweight compact power unit that significantly reduces the overall weight of a vehicle and therefore cuts carbon emissions.”
Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan said: “Innovate 2016 will be an excellent opportunity for AIE to showcase their cutting edge innovation to a national and international audience. Innovate 2016 is the UK’s largest multi-sector innovation event and is organised by Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade. It is set up to create opportunities for export and investment for the UK’s most innovative companies.
